Project Details
The Grande Spirit Foundation is constructing two seniors’ self contained duplexes in DeBolt to partly replace the suites lost when Laura DeBolt and Edna Stevenson manor were vacated due to a slope failure behind the buildings. The senior self-contained duplexes provide a total of 4 units that are apartment-style living for seniors who are able to live independently with or without the assistance of community-based services. The duplexes will be factory built homes consisting of two-bedroom suites complete with independent kitchens and laundry. Please view attached floorplan below and elevation of the new units.
The current project is being supported by funds from the Province of Alberta and MD of Greenview. The Foundation requested funding for two additional duplexes through the CMHC’s Rapid Housing Initiative but was unsuccessful in our bid. We are continuing to pursue funding for additional suites in the community to get back to the 8 suites the community had.
